शिरोळ तालुक्यातील जयसिंगपूर, मौजे आगर, नृसिंहवाडी, कुरुंदवाड, तेरवाड, जांभळी, कोडींग्रे, चिपरी हद्दीमधील परवानाधारक लॉजिंग अँड बोर्डिंग हॉटेलमध्ये दिवसा ढवळ्या “भोग्या” ठेवून अवैध व्यवसाय केला जात असल्याची चर्चा आहे.
तरुण पिढी बरबाद करणाऱ्या या व्यवसायाकडे मानवी तस्करी प्रतिबंधक कायदा विभागाचे कोल्हापूर पोलीस आणि शिरोळ, जयसिंगपूर तसेच कुरुंदवाड पोलिसांनी जाणीवपूर्वक “डोळेझाक” केली असल्याचा आरोप नागरिकांतून केला जात असल्याचे कळते.
याशिवाय आर्थिक दृष्ट्या गंजलेल्या कुटुंबाचा शोध घेऊन, त्यांना वेगवेगळ्या पद्धतीने लागणाऱ्या मदतीचा अंदाज घेऊन, मध्यस्तीच्या माध्यमातून स्व-स्वार्थ साधण्यासाठी त्यांना गैरकृत्य करायला भाग पाडणारी तालुक्यात “सखी” नामक एक टोळी ?कार्यरत असल्याची चर्चा आहे. मानवी तस्करी प्रतिबंधक कायदा विभागाच्या पोलिसांनी याची खोलवर चौकशी केल्यास मोठे रॅकेट हाताला लागण्याची शक्यता वर्तवली जात असल्याचे समजते.
एकूणच लॉजिंग अँड बोर्डिंग हॉटेल व्यवसाय आणि टोळीच्या माध्यमातून सुरू असलेल्या व्यवसायामध्ये शिरोळसह वेगवेगळ्या ठिकाणच्या अनेक व्यक्ती गुंतल्या असल्याची चर्चा आहे. यापैकी काहींना बाधा झाली असल्यामुळे, तरुण वर्गाला भयंकर आजाराचा धोका वाढला असल्याचे समजते.
